Workshops are designed for photographers who are at an early or intermediate stage and want to strengthen their foundations in studio photography and creative portraiture.
They are ideal if you:
- have a basic understanding of photography but limited experience working with a model
- want to learn how studio lighting really works
- want a guided introduction to creative portrait photography
- want to reach the level of attending the masterclasses

The limited group size allows me to follow each participant individually, answer questions, and adapt explanations to different learning speeds.

What the Workshop Covers
The workshop follows a progressive path, from fundamentals to creative application:
- review of the exposure triangle (aperture, shutter speed, ISO)
- introduction to studio lighting
- model direction and communication
- creation of guided creative portraits
- use of different light sources:
- flash
- continuous LED lights
- RGB lighting
- Fresnel lenses
- projectors
- smoke machines
I explain how to build and read a lighting setup, how to adapt it to the subject, and how to approach creative portraiture step by step.
Workshop Philosophy
Workshops are hands-on and educational, not theoretical lectures.
Their goal is to:
- build strong technical foundations
- develop a clear working method
- remove uncertainty and hesitation
- introduce creative thinking in portrait photography
They are the natural first step before accessing the Masterclasses.
Agenda for the Workshop:
- 9:00 AM Participants’ arrival. Be sharp! We suggest arriving 15 min before the workshop starts
- Introduction and Welcome: Get acquainted with your fellow participants and the model.
- Theory Session (30/60 minutes): Learn valuable insights and practical tips on creative portrait:
- how to create a cinematic look
- light modifiers
- model interaction
- model posing
- mood board
- interaction with the makeup artist
- how to run a creative portrait session
- Makeup Preparation: In parallel to the “Theory Session”, our skilled makeup artist, Alice, will ensure the model looks flawless and camera-ready.
- Shooting Session: 4 hours
- 15-minute Q&A and Feedback: Engage in a discussion with the instructor and fellow participants, sharing insights and receiving feedback on your work.
- Closing Remarks: Conclude the workshop with a reflection on the day’s learnings and a celebration of your growth as a photographer.

The workshop is for photographers who have at least a basic understanding of their photographic gear. We recommend bringing your camera and a set of fast lenses (with an aperture of 4 or lower) to make the most of the workshop.
The workshop will be conducted in both English and French. Participants are welcome to communicate with the instructor in French if preferred.

What level of experience do I need?
Workshops:
A basic understanding of your camera is sufficient. You should be familiar with shutter speed, aperture, and ISO. No advanced experience is required.
Masterclasses:
Participants are expected to already have experience working with models, ideally through one of my workshops, one-on-one sessions, or prior professional experience.

Do I need to bring my own equipment?
Yes. Participants must bring their own camera and lenses.
All studio equipment (lights, stands, modifiers, panels, etc.) is provided by the studio and the organization.

Which lenses should I bring?
You are free to bring any equipment you feel comfortable with.
That said, I recommend:
- prime lenses whenever possible
- focal lengths between 24–35mm and 100mm
- 35mm, 50mm, and 85mm are especially recommended
- fast apertures such as f/1.8 or f/2.8
Creative portrait sessions may involve low-light scenes, so fast lenses can be very helpful.

If you cancel more than 10 days before the event, the workshop or masterclass is fully refunded.
If you cancel within 10 days of the event, no refund is provided unless:
- You find a replacement participant, or
- The organisation can fill your spot

Can I use the photos I take during the workshop or masterclass?
Yes. Participants will sign a release allowing them to use the images for any purpose.
However, the model retains her right to image.
This means that for publication (social media, websites, commercial use, etc.), explicit consent from the model is required.
